Steve’s professional journey began in the marine industry, where he rapidly ascended the ranks to become the First Officer of the esteemed Murray Princess. His exceptional skills led to the accomplishment of having achieved the title of the youngest Master V in South Australia at just 18 years old.

Steve co-founded Smooth Flow Traffic Management (SFTM) alongside his father in 2019, which – under Steve's guidance – grew exponentially from a modest team of two to 105 members by 2023. In 2022, Steve's ambitions extended to the creation of the Smooth Flow Group. With a strong focus on sustainable growth and a strategic approach to business, Steve is dedicated to positioning the Smooth Flow Group for success. As Managing Director, Steve helps set the stage for a future marked by continued expansion and a strong regional presence across South Australia.

As a seasoned entrepreneur, Tom boasts a remarkable history of building successful ventures from scratch. From a young age, Tom gained hands-on experience in the family enterprise, laying the foundation for his entrepreneurial spirit, before earning an Agriculture Certificate at 25 to further expand his skills. Settling in the Riverland region, Tom embarked on a three-decade entrepreneurial journey, leaving an enduring impact on the area's business landscape.

In 2019, Tom partnered with his son Steven Walsh to launch Smooth Flow Traffic Management driven by their shared vision of providing top-tier traffic control services across the region. Tom's strategic decision-making and entrepreneurial drive fueled the company's asset growth, which continued as the company expanded into forming the Smooth Flow Group conglomerate. Tom’s commitment to local job opportunities and community development underscores his dedication to fostering economic growth, making him an invaluable asset to the Smooth Flow Group.

Kylie brings over three decades of expertise in Administration, Accounts, and HR to her role at Smooth Flow Group. After graduating in 1993, she dedicated her career to Adelaide-based companies, mastering various accounts departments. For 11 years, Kylie played a crucial role in major projects for BHP Olympic Dam in Roxby Downs, and in 2021 she launched her own subcontracted accounts services company while also managing a Tyre Power store in Roxby Downs for a subcontracted client.



Kylie currently contributes her extensive expertise to Smooth Flow, overseeing accounts, HR, and daily company operations. Her background, multi-faceted proficiency, and organisational prowess ensures that the business runs smoothly, accurately, and efficiently. She also provides an extensive network of industry contacts to support Smooth Flow’s complete range of operations.
